This center is a branch of Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide religious organization founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920 to teach scientific techniques of meditation that will lead to a direct, personal relationship with God.

       Managing Council

The Atlanta Center Managing Council is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Atlanta Center.  The Managing Council also plans activities, coordinates visits and programs with Mother Center in Los Angeles, and helps direct future expansion of services and facilities of the Atlanta Center.  Members are nominated by the Atlanta Center members yearly.  Feel free to speak with any Managing Council member concerning any questions, comments, or recommendations about the Atlanta Center.

Service Readers

The Atlanta Center  service readers conduct the weekly services for meditation and other services.  A group of about 20 members who are Kriyabans (members of SRF) are elected annually.  Service readers serve many times each year and spend many hours in preparation for their service.

Ushers/Greeters

The Atlanta Center ushers/greeters provide support for all of the meditation services.  A group of about 20 members who volunteer annually. Greeting members and visitors who attend the various functions and services, preparing the Center for services, and performing countless other duties, the ushers are an indispensable part of the Atlanta Center.
